Detection Services has been providing Field Support Services to local councils, consultants, modellers and water authorities throughout Australia and New Zealand for a number of years and specialise in the monitoring of potable water and pressurised sewer networks. These services are often focused on collecting high accuracy field data on flows, pressure and reservoir levels in order to assist in the calibration of the client’s hydraulic model.

As a company we hold large stocks of monitoring equipment that is regularly calibrated or verified to meet the requirements of most applications and have an experienced team of trained technicians to meet the demands and accuracy required by our clients. We are committed to every project and aim to work to provide a seamless service with the client to make sure the project succeeds within the time span set.
It is now our general policy to provide remote monitoring at all key locations to ensure data is monitored on a daily basis and any failures or irregularities detected within a 24 hour period and the problem corrected within the shortest time possible. Projects are normally managed from a local office and additional technicians are assigned to the project to ensure each milestone is met and completed on time.
Detection Services has worked for many leading Water Companies in Queensland, New South Wales, Victoria, Southern and Western Australia and are proud of the success we always achieve. We also cover New Zealand and have completed many field service projects countrywide.
Our equipment used on each project is from world leading manufacturers such as ABB, Hydreka or Wetnet for insertion meters and the Ashridge Engineering Textlog or GCR Triton data loggers for measuring pressure and flow. In addition we also offer a Datum levelling service where we can complete the whole process of establishing the actual AHD of the data logger and for this we use the ProMark 200 GPS level to undertake most of the site levelling which is a cost-effective dual-frequency network RTK solution from Ashtech. However in cases where a GPS signal is not available we revert to a conventional Nikon AC-2S Automatic Level.
All the data collected by our technicians is quality controlled by a specialist data technician using in-house software and any queries rechecked before releasing to the client ensuring the data is of the highest quality possible. On the completion of each project the client is provided with a full report of our findings and anomalies, if found. We also supply a copy of site photographs and technician site reports for each site.
